About Meetings & Events

The Woodlawn Inn has a long history of providing hospitality to the business community. This red-brick home was constructed in 1835 for prominent businessman Ebenezer Perry, who used the formal Regency architecture to establish his stature in United Empire Loyalist Cobourg. The modern Woodlawn specializes in hosting business meetings and banquets, corporate social functions and in providing accommodations appointed for business travellers. Hospitality is provided in English, French, German and Italian.

Business becomes a pleasure when conducted in The Woodlawn Inn's quiet atmosphere. Business groups appreciate exclusive use of facilities and a high level of customer service when they reserve meeting space and the dining room. Business travellers appreciate the extent to which The Woodlawn Inn caters to their requirements by providing early morning business papers, work space and desks in every room, modem hook-ups, voice mail and business laundry services.

Conference Facilities

The Perry Room is a pleasant meeting room with a view of the inn's front gardens. A comfortable, historic ambience is provided through carefully chosen decor and a fireplace. The room is suitable for board meetings up to12 in size. Breakout space is available in the Green Room (a dining room that can be made separate) or in the European-style lounge and bar.

The Woodlawn Suite is suitable for private business entertaining, with living room, bedroom and foyer all lavishing decorated with fine antiques. A second floor common room is also conducive to informal meetings for up to 12 people.

The Woodlawn Inn will provide the following equipment:

Other equipment and services may be arranged at additional cost.

Corporate Packages

Rates include overnight accommodation, breakfast, hot served & continental, lunch, three-course gourmet dinner, morning and afternoon snack breaks, writing pads, pencils and primary meeting space. AV: slide projector, screen, overhead projector, large writing pad, and easel.

Rates are subject to taxes and 12% service charge.  Rates are per person, per day.  A spousal/double occupancy plan is also available.  Please add $89.00 per day.

Recreation

Cobourg is well situated for a variety of outdoor pursuits. The Woodlawn Inn regularly arranges choice tee times at local courses (five courses are within a 20-minute drive) and very popular salmon fishing charters for business groups. Bike rentals are available in town, so guests can explore historic Cobourg, its pretty harbour and waterfront parks.

Cobourg is rapidly becoming a centre for a variety of wellness practitioners, and The Woodlawn Inn partners with facilities within steps of the inn to offer guests access to professional spa treatments as part of their stay. Alternatively, health and wellness practitioners may provide services at The Woodlawn Inn. During the winter, the inn arranges popular curling bonspiels for business groups.

Regional Highlights

Cobourg's remarkable Victoria Hall-designed on a grand scale in the days when residents dreamed of becoming the nation's capital-hosts professional theatre and an art gallery. The town has several historic sites of interest, among them the home of early movie legend Marie Dressler, which has exhibits on the early days of Hollywood.
