Dining at Riverbend Inn & VineyardAn impressive view overlooking the gardens, manicured lawns and sprawling vineyard, add to the superb dining experience enjoyed by guests to the Riverbend Inn. When the weather is favourable, guests will often pass the time sipping estate-bottled vintages on the 40 seat patio overlooking the vineyard. The unique 1890’s salon bar with roaring hearth and warm surroundings have made it well known as a gathering place for locals and guests alike. Creative, inspired country fare is served seven days per week in the 26 seat dining room with of course—a fantastic view.

Recreation Riverbend Inn & Vineyard
The first capital of Upper Canada, Niagara-on-the-Lake has, in recent years, become  known as home of the Shaw Festival, an internationally acclaimed producer of the works of George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries. If golf is your game, Niagara-on-the-Lake offers the oldest golf course in Canada (golfers actually play in the shadow of Fort Mississauga, one of North America's earliest battlements), not to mention some 20 world-class courses within a short drive.

Cyclists can set off on the picturesque off-road Niagara Parkway trail that will take the energetic rider through Niagara Falls, all the way to Fort Erie. Wine and culinary aficionados will want to spend days touring the vineyards, wineries and restaurants, by bike, car or group tour. And when all the energetic activities are exhausted, take a quiet amble down dozens of tree-lined streets, past the carefully restored homes and businesses of Canada's founders.
