Overlooking picturesque Picton Bay, Claramount
welcomes guests to a gracious 1906 Colonial Revival home.
Restored to reflect its grandeur as a centre of social life in
early twentieth-century Prince Edward County, the inn offers ten
luxurious rooms featuring period furnishing, generous seating
areas and inspiring views of the gardens and harbour. Claramount
Inn & Spa embraces the Kneipp philosophy developed in
nineteenth-century Germany. The five pillars of this
wellness-inspired philosophy include hydrotherapy, phytotherapy,
kinesitherapy, dietetics and regulative therapy (using,
respectively, water, plants, exercise, nutrition and
activity/relaxation). These pillars guide cuisine, spa
treatments and classes. Guests arriving by boat are invited to
dock their yacht at the inn to enjoy relaxing therapies, fine
dining and luxurious accommodations.

Claramount Inn &
Spa, a member of
Ontario's Finest Spas, embraces the Kneipp philosophy developed during the
nineteenth century by Sebastian Kneipp, a man ahead of his time.
Kneipp's remarkable success in health care resulted in his
philosophy spreading around the world over a century-and-a-half.
The philosophy and practices are based on five pillars: water,
plants, exercise, nutrition and relaxation. In keeping with the
Kneipp methods, Claramount Inn & Spa offers hydrotherapy,
